Requirements

There aren’t many requirements to join VIPKID. All you will need are the following:

Be eligible to work in USA or Canada
A Bachelor’s degree in any field
Have experience with formal or informal teaching
A stable internet connection

If you’ve tutored, babysat, mentored, taught, or have volunteered in the past in high school or university, that counts as teaching experience so don’t forget to add those when you apply!

As long as you can attend your classes online on time and you are able to work somewhere with stable internet, you can work anywhere in the world. This is great if you travel a lot but still want to earn some money on the side.

How The Pay Works

Each class session is 25 minutes and is scheduled in 30 minute slots. The more classes are booked by students with you, the more you are paid!

VIPKID will pay you a base rate of $7 to $9 per hour + $1 incentive if you show up on time to class + $1 incentive based on the number of classes you complete each month.

In total, the hourly pay rate starts at $14 per hour, but this hourly rate increases up to $22 per hour depending on how many extra incentives you receive.

For example, if you worked 20 hours per week at the hourly rate of $22 per hour, you can potentially earn an extra $1,760 a month! Even if you only work the minimum 7.5 hours per week that they require of you each month at $14 per hour, you’ll still earn an extra $420 in your bank account each month.

Payment Method

Direct deposit payments are sent out on the 10th to 15th of each month.
